A former high school English teacher and former Director of the National Writing Project at the University of Southern California, Bill Saunders has, for the past twenty years, served as an Associate Research Psychologist at UCLA and held a similar appointment at California State University, Long Beach. He has published numerous articles and chapters based on several small and large-scale research studies, research syntheses, and also research and development projects focused on school improvement, teacher collaboration, language arts curriculum and instruction, performance assessment and programs for English Learners. Co-founder of the Talking Teaching Network (TTN), Bill currently serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors and also co-directs all TTN research and development projects.
